Barber Registration

Rules and Regulations:

This is a Bald Fade Total Look Competition

This competition is open to Barber Students Only.

Barbers must have a current student permit and valid driver’s license.

Barbers will be judged on the following: Cut, Stage Appearance and Costumes, Originality, Cohesive Total Look, Audience Response.

Competitors will have 45 minutes to complete cut on stage.

A maximum of one model per performance is allowed.

Except for chemical processes, NO other pre-work may be done on the model before the competition. All cutting including the beard MUST be done on sight. The starting point of the head is to be a “Clean Canvas”.

The use of straight razors or razor blades are NOT allowed.

Competitors are required to remove at least a ½ inch of hair off the entire head during the competition as to satisfy the requirement of executing a full haircut on sight during the competition timeframe. All hair must remain on the floor.

Competitors are permitted to bring and use combs, brushes, flat irons, and liquid styling tools of their choosing, including color sprays.

This is not a design competition, but designs are permitted.

Model must be dressed in appropriate attire to reflect the mood of the hair creation.

NO profanity or vulgar lyrics in any performance or music.  NO nudity allowed. Keep attire at a respectable and tasteful level. NO alcohol, tobacco, or drug advertisements are to be shown on any clothing.

NO pyrotechnics, open flames, fog machines or any other dangerous additions.

Absolutely NO persons are allowed in the competition room but judges, contestants, and model(s). NO EXCEPTIONS!

Contestants agree to abide by the decision of the judges. The SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT to cancel or limit the number of competitors.

All competitors and models must sign a release form which authorizes The Hair Games, LLC to use any photos taken during the event for industry and non-industry publication and promotion of this and future events.

Grand Prize is $250 and a Trophy
